Ethan is here.
Ya know what?
I couldn’t tell ya.
Justin Vernon is my favorite musician. His voice is beautiful. He’s an incredible song writer. And he’s super nice. :D
But I don’t think he’s most important to me.
The musicians who are most important to me are my friends and boyfriend. I know that’s sappy, but it’s true. I have so many talented friends.
Yup.
I know religion exists. It always will, most likely, but I don’t like it.
I have a relationship with God. I believe in Him more than I believe in anything. I am, however, not one of those christians who condemn people or force it down people’s throats. It kills me when people say that homosexuality is wrong. It kills me when people say that women should not have leadership roles in the church. It kills me when people say that you’ll go to hell if you don’t believe this or that.
God is loving, first and foremost. He’s never gonna leave me. He’ll always love me. That’s that.
So, yeah. I love God and I love people.
I don’t love religion.

1) Marielle
Marielle is my best friend. She gets me, unlike many many people. We share the same tastes and hobbies and desires. We became friends, I think, about 5, maybe 6 years ago. Our first “frienddate”? We went to go take pictures.
I think we both helped each other into photography.
Marielle is one of the most God-loving, God-fearing people I know. Everyday is about Him. It’s not about her. That’s humbling. She is radiant in looks and in her heart. She is one of the craftiest people I know—her whole family is. I love that. She always welcomes me into her home, and since I live 3 hours away, I love the chance to make my way into her living room.
She is younger than me, by 4 years, but is far beyond her age in maturity. She questions and answers things that I didn’t begin to think about at 15. Her heart for helping people and creating pretty things—whether photography or felt things or coffee cozies—is inspiring.
We have seriously been through so much in our friendship. There was a time when we were always jealous of each other for one thing or another. There was a time when we fought for weeks and weeks. There was a time when we were insanely, insanely happy because of two boys. And those two boys kinda killed our hearts. Well, only temporarily. But we’ve always had each other’s backs. And that’s true friendship.
Now, even though we’re miles away and we can’t talk or see each other as much, she’s still my best friend. And sister.
Marielle is such a blessing.
2) Ethan.
Ethan is my boyfriend. He is also my best friend, but in a little bit different sense of the word. I don’t paint my toenails with him. But we’re very, very, very close.
He tells me I’m beautiful after just waking up. He hugs me and doesn’t let go. He trusts me, and I trust him. It’s hard to describe how a person has impacted you. He has listened to me when I needed someone to listen to. He has given me advice and encouragement and has helped me when I’m down.
He has seen me at my absolute worst; tears streaming down my face, snot running out of my nose like a waterfall, red, blotchy cheeks, and gross, unbathed hair and body. But he still wraps his arms around me and holds me close.
Ethan challenges me to take more photos, write more, create more things, and get closer to God. As well as a friend and boyfriend, he’s also somewhat of a leader.
He makes me laugh more than anyone. He tickles me and I don’t want to punch him. And we are able to have in-depth conversations about our relationship and goals and the future and what not. There has never been an argument in which we lost our temper or fought. We talk things out and don’t let things get in the way of our care for each other.
I looove these two.
So much.
